Entrance Requirement: Guests using wheelchairs or facing significant mobility challenges should enter strictly through the historic entrance located at 54B Salinelor Street. The primary Durgău entrance requires climbing down stairs right at the start.
Reachable Sections: The flat Franz Josef Tunnel is fully navigable for wheelchairs, along with the surrounding heritage rooms such as the Crivac Room, Extraction Well, and the upper overlook above the Joseph Mine.
Elevator & Deep Mine Restrictions: While a panoramic lift drops into the lower Rudolf Cavern, reaching the elevator itself requires walking up and down a few stair steps. Because of these structural steps, the lower recreation floor and the Terezia historic lake are not barrier-free for standard wheelchair reliance.
Ground Conditions: Expect mostly flat, packed salt paths throughout the upper gallery, though occasional dampness or subtle floor bumps can occur.
